Product description
Arctic Cool Basic 2 Plus –
Maximum cooling power for ice swimming
With 1400 watts of cooling power, Wi-Fi app control with timer routines, and a maintenance-free particle filter, the Arctic Cool Basic 2 Plus cools even larger pools quickly and reliably down to 3°C. Ideal for intensive cold plunge sessions.
1400 W – the most powerful in the Basic series
With 1400 W, the Basic 2 Plus offers the highest cooling performance of all Basic models – ideal for larger pools or when you need ice-cold water particularly quickly.
Wi-Fi & App Control
Control your cooling unit conveniently via app – from anywhere. Create individual time routines so that your water is ice-cold exactly when you need it.
Cold as low as 3°C
With 1400 W cooling power, the Arctic Cool Basic 2 Plus lowers the water temperature by approximately 2–3 °C per hour – significantly faster than the smaller models.
Maintenance-free filter
The integrated metal mesh particle filter traps hair and dirt. Simply rinse under the tap – no replacement filter needed, no more follow-up costs.
Safe & Energy efficient
230V connection with integrated residual current circuit breaker for maximum safety in wet areas. The appliance typically consumes approximately 450 watts during operation. Maximum power consumption: 630 watts – still less than a kettle.
Important information regarding winter operation
In case of frost, empty the unit and store it in a frost-free location (e.g., bring it indoors) to prevent water from freezing inside and damaging components. The pool water will remain cold enough even in freezing conditions and can continue to be used without the cooling unit running.
Polar Bear Tub –
The best-insulated ice bath
The Polar Bear Tub is the best-insulated ice bath on the market. It features a 5 cm thick special thermal layer in the walls and lid, and is made of robust plastic in the Sauerland region of Germany – Made in Germany. Your water stays ice-cold for hours, saving energy on your refrigerator.
5 cm special thermal layer
The Polar Bear Tub is completely lined between the walls with a special thermal foam layer – the same material used for dry ice coolers at −80 °C.
Insulated lid included
The included lid is also lined with a thermal layer on the inside. This keeps the cold completely inside the pool – even overnight and in direct sunlight.
Lower electricity costs
Thanks to superior insulation, your refrigerator needs to run significantly less often. This saves energy and money – day after day.
Made in Germany
Made in the Sauerland region from robust, durable plastic. German quality standards for a pool that will reliably last for years.
Stairs & integrated seat
The removable external steps and the 20 cm high internal seat ensure easy entry and comfortable sitting up to the neck in the water.
3 shut-off valves included
Two connections for the cooling unit and an extra drain tap for easy emptying – without an additional hose or pump.
The best-insulated ice bath on the market
No other ice bath insulates as well as the Polar Bear Tub. The combination of a 5 cm special thermal layer in the walls, the insulated lid, and the robust plastic housing ensures that hardly any cold is lost. Cooled to 3°C in the morning – often still at 5°C in the evening. Even for tall people over 1.90 m, the tub offers enough space for complete immersion.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the power consumption of the Arctic Cool Basic 2 Plus cooling unit?
The Arctic Cool Basic 2 Plus has a maximum power consumption of 630 watts while cooling the water.
If the device is run for 5 hours a day to cool the water by approximately 10 degrees, the cost at an average electricity price of 30 cents per kWh is approximately 90 cents per day.
How loud is the Arctic Cool Basic 2 Plus during the cooling process?
The Arctic Cool Basic 2 Plus has a noise level of approximately 55 decibels at a distance of one meter during the cooling process – on par with a quiet office or a modern dishwasher in Eco mode.
A small note: dB values are logarithmic; even a 5 dB difference is perceived subjectively as significantly quieter/louder.
How quickly does the Arctic Cool Basic 2 Plus cool?
The Arctic Cool Basic 2 Plus cools the water by approximately 2 to 3 degrees per hour, depending on the ambient and water temperatures. It's best to leave the cooler running overnight so that you have water that's up to 3 degrees cold in the morning, depending on the temperature setting.
Can the Arctic Cool Basic 2 Plus be used with a bathtub?
NO!
The Arctic Cool Basic 2 Plus requires a tank with at least one inlet at the bottom so that the pump inside the unit receives sufficient water pressure. This is necessary because the pump cannot draw in water, but only circulate it.
