Product description
Arctic Cool Basic –
Your introduction to ice swimming
With 800 watts of cooling power, Wi-Fi app control with timer functions, and a maintenance-free particle filter, the Arctic Cool Basic reliably cools your water down to 3°C. Compact, energy-efficient, and ready to use immediately.
Wi-Fi & App Control
Control your cooling unit conveniently via app – from anywhere. Create individual time routines so that your water is ice-cold exactly when you need it.
Cold as low as 3°C
With 800 W cooling power, the Arctic Cool Basic lowers the water temperature by approximately 1–1.2 °C per hour – for reliably cold water, even in the height of summer.
Maintenance-free filter
The integrated metal mesh particle filter traps hair and dirt. Simply rinse under the tap – no replacement filter needed, no more follow-up costs.
Climate-friendly refrigerant
R290 is a natural refrigerant – efficient in operation and significantly more climate-friendly than conventional HFC refrigerants.
Safe & Energy efficient
230 V connection with integrated residual current circuit breaker for maximum safety in wet areas. The device consumes only approximately 290 watts during operation – less than a household hairdryer.
Important information regarding winter operation
In case of frost, empty the unit and store it in a frost-free location (e.g., bring it indoors) to prevent water from freezing inside and damaging components. The pool water will remain cold enough even in freezing conditions and can continue to be used without the cooling unit running.
Ready for your ice bath experience?
The Arctic Cool Basic makes getting started easy – compact, powerful and conveniently controllable via app.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Arctic Cool Basic and the Arctic Cool Basic 2?
Technically, the Arctic Cool Basic and the Arctic Cool Basic 2 are very similar devices. Both feature the same display, the same functionality, and can be conveniently controlled via an app. The main difference lies in the cooling capacity: The Arctic Cool Basic 2 offers 1,130 W of cooling power, while the Arctic Cool Basic operates at 800 W. Additionally, the Arctic Cool Basic comes in the new Arctic Tub design.
Thanks to its higher cooling capacity, the Arctic Cool Basic 2 can cool the water somewhat faster and achieve slightly lower water temperatures even in the height of summer when temperatures exceed 30°C. However, both devices cool the water exceptionally well – even with the Arctic Cool Basic, you'll always have reliably very cold water, even in the height of summer.
What is the power consumption of the Arctic Cool Basic cooling unit?
The Arctic Cool Basic has a maximum power consumption of 280 watts while cooling the water.
If the device is run for 10 hours a day to cool the water by 10 degrees, the cost at an average electricity price of 30 cents per kWh is approximately 90 cents per day.
How loud is the Arctic Cool Basic during the cooling process?
The Arctic Cool Basic has a noise level of approximately 55 decibels at a distance of one meter during the cooling process – on par with a quiet office or a modern dishwasher in Eco mode.
A small note: dB values are logarithmic; even a 5 dB difference is perceived subjectively as significantly quieter/louder.
How quickly does the Arctic Cool Basic cool down?
Depending on the ambient and water temperatures, the Arctic Cool Basic cools the water by approximately 1 to 1.5 degrees Celsius per hour. It's best to leave the cooler running overnight; this way, depending on the temperature setting, you'll have water that's up to 3 degrees Celsius cold in the morning.
Can the Arctic Cool Basic also be used outdoors?
YES!
The Arctic Cool Basic and all pools can of course also be used outdoors. However, we recommend protecting the Arctic Cool Basic from heavy rain from above. This can be achieved, for example, by placing a small side table over the Arctic Cool Basic. It is important to leave the sides of the cooling unit clear so that the Arctic Cool Basic receives enough air to cool the water.

Can the Arctic Cool Basic be used with a bathtub?
NO!
The Arctic Cool Basic requires a basin with at least one connection at the bottom so that the pump inside the unit receives sufficient water pressure. This is necessary because the pump cannot draw in water, but can only circulate it.
Do I need to buy replacement filters?
No, you don't need replacement filters for the Arctic Cool Basic. The filter protects the pump from hair and other impurities in the water and can be easily rinsed under the tap. For heavier deposits, you can brush it out with a small nail brush – after which it's as good as new and ready to use again. It's important to clean the filter regularly, ideally every 20 ice baths or after 20 people.
