All water contains various dissolved substances in varying concentrations. These are calcium and magnesium as well as sulphates. These substances are responsible for the hardness of the water. Water also contains metals such as iron, copper and manganese. All of these substances are present in the water in ionized form. These substances can settle. Solid deposits containing calcium and magnesium can form in the pipes of the Arctic Cool and adhere there. Fats and oils from skin or cosmetics then stick to these rough surfaces and serve as a food source for bacteria. These bacteria then form biofilms to protect themselves from disinfectants. When using Calcium Ex, calcium and magnesium molecules are "complexed". This means that they are given a different molecular structure during the transition from ionized form to solid form. As a result, they can no longer adhere to the pipe walls and deposits are effectively prevented - the limescale is simply filtered out. Metals in the water can lead to discoloration and cloudiness. Complexing with Calcium Ex prevents this and the metals are also filtered out.

Summary:

Calcium Ex does not soften the water, but it prevents deposits from forming and the water from becoming discolored or cloudy.

Application:

Shake thoroughly before use. When refilling, add 100 ml to hard, calcareous water and 50 ml to soft water without a high limescale content.
