Important information regarding winter operation
In case of frost, empty the unit and store it in a frost-free location (e.g., bring it indoors) to prevent water from freezing inside and damaging components. The pool water will remain cold enough even in freezing conditions and can continue to be used without the cooling unit running.

The Polar Bear Tub is the best-insulated ice bath on the market. It features a 5 cm thick special thermal layer in the walls and lid, and is made of robust plastic in the Sauerland region of Germany – Made in Germany. Your water stays ice-cold for hours, saving energy on your refrigerator.
5 cm special thermal layer
The Polar Bear Tub is completely lined between the walls with a special thermal foam layer – the same material used for dry ice coolers at −80 °C.
Insulated lid included
The included lid is also lined with a thermal layer on the inside. This keeps the cold completely inside the pool – even overnight and in direct sunlight.

Depending on the ambient and water temperatures, the Arctic Cool Basic cools the water by approximately 1 to 1.8 degrees Celsius per hour. Can the Arctic Cool Basic 2 also be used outdoors?
YES!
The Arctic Cool Basic 2 and all pools can of course also be used outdoors. However, we recommend protecting the Arctic Cool Basic 2 from heavy rain from above. This can be achieved, for example, by placing a small side table over the Arctic Cool Basic 2. It is important to leave the sides of the cooling unit clear so that the Arctic Cool Basic 2 gets enough air to cool the water.

Can the Arctic Cool Basic 2 be used with a bathtub?
NO!
The Arctic Cool Basic 2 requires a tank with at least one connection at the bottom so that the pump inside the unit receives sufficient water pressure. This is necessary because the pump cannot draw in water, but only circulate it.
